We enjoy constructing together!
Cooperation is great.
Working together means we can share and listen to each others' ideas.
In the end we usually get great results when we put in the effort and cooperate.

Week 7 Learning conversation
Should KPS students come to school by walking or by car?
Each week we pose a question on Monday which we discuss on Thursday. The questions don't usually have an obvious correct answer. We are encouraged to think about and discuss with family and friends the question. As well as having our own opinion or decision, we should have reasons to back up our answer.

Week six poem
Honey Bear
I’m a little teddy bear,
I’m cuddly and I’m funny.
I love to fill my tummy up,
With pots and pots of honey.
I eat it every day because,
It’s sweet and very yummy.
I’m glad I’m a teddy bear,
‘Cos I love eating honey.
I’m a little teddy bear,
I’m cuddly and I’m funny.
I love to fill my tummy up,
With pots and pots of honey.
I eat it every day because,
It’s sweet and very yummy.
I’m glad I’m a teddy bear,

Which playground is better?
Which playground is better, the yellow one or the wooden one?
Each week we pose a question on Monday which we discuss on Thursday. The questions don't usually have an obvious correct answer. We are encouraged to think about and discuss with family and friends the question. As well as having our own opinion or decision, we should have reasons to back up our answer.
Here's what we think...
YELLOW:
Has a flying fox that goes all the way to the end but the wooden one slows down. (Luka, Arnagone)
Has monkey bars close that I can use (Paige, Luka, Carlos, Naresh, Sebastian)
You can run around [without getting splinters if in bare feet] (Patai, Luka, Sean)
Is safe. You might fall off wooden playground (Sebastian, Danielle, Cole)
The tire swing on the wooden playground goes too high and makes me sick (Cole, Sebastian)
More activities on the yellow playground (Sean, Patai, Ben)
You can still play on it even with a sore arm (AJ)
I can do anything on it, but the wooden one is harder (Lennox)
Has a wooden plank next to it (Sebastian)
WOODEN:
It has a sandpit next to it too (Mia)
Has a tire swing you can push people on and go high (Mia,Maggie, Erin, Greer)
You can run fast (Erin)
Has a bigger slide so people won't get shove over it (Mia
BOTH HAVE GOOD THINGS (Ben, Eva, Chloe)

Week five poem
Teddy Bears
Teddy bears are fuzzy folk,
They’re comforting to touch.
On days that you are feeling down,
They’re there for you to clutch.
If you should ever need a hug,
Or feel you’d like to cry,
Then grab a cuddly teddy bear,
They’re always standing by.
Teddy bears are fuzzy folk,
They’re comforting to touch.
On days that you are feeling down,
They’re there for you to clutch.
If you should ever need a hug,
Or feel you’d like to cry,
Then grab a cuddly teddy bear,
They’re always standing by.

Me

Because it says I'm me.
I can't be anybody else,
That is plain to see.
No one else has quite my nose,
My freckles or my feet.
I'm the only one there is,
I'm a special me.
I'm unique!

Learning conversations
Do you have any ideas for good open questions for our learning conversations?
A good question is one which doesn't have an obvious right or wrong answer. It should be about an issue or subject that our five and six-year-olds can easily relate to, and discuss with others as they consider alternative viewpoints or gather facts to support their views.
Please comment with your suggestions.
Bring our toys to school?

Might leave behind at school (Erin, Maggie, Ben)
